This striking segmented wood vase is a true one-of-a-kind statement piece, handcrafted with precision and care in my small New Jersey workshop. Made from **531 individually cut and placed segments**, this tall, elegant form showcases the art of woodturning at its finest.
Standing **17 inches tall**, the vase features a **4-inch base** that gracefully widens to **8 inches at its broadest point**, then tapers into a neck that **flares out to 4.5 inches**. The shape evokes a timeless elegance—perfect as a decorative centerpiece or display piece in any setting.
The vase is constructed from a beautiful blend of hardwoods:
* **Maple** – 456 pieces
* **Mahogany** – 48 pieces
* **Black Laminate** – 24 pieces
* **Osage Orange** – 3 pieces
The contrast between the warm hues of maple and mahogany, the golden highlights of osage orange, and the bold detailing from black laminate creates a stunning and harmonious visual rhythm. Every segment was meticulously cut, assembled, and turned on a wood lathe to bring this piece to life.
